Velvet Crush

Hey Girls,

I have been crushing on velvet booties since they hit the shelves. Set to be the fabric of the season, Velvet was all over the runways of AW16. Velvet itself is an exquisite fabric - but on boots! I must say, I've fallen in love. I've been lucky enough to collaborate with an amazing shoe brand Essex Glam that gifted me with my velvet crush.

Velvet is no longer seen as the fabric of the dark and romantic gothic era as the likes of Valentino have made it cool again to wear it during the day. This strokable fabric has been used on everything from bodysuits to bomber jackets, as well as cute bags. I am obsessed.

Don’t get me wrong, Velvet is a statement trend, and it is possibly not for everyone, however I’ve picked out these boots that you are going to love to wear, and if grey isn't your shade, they are also available in Navy and Black. They also lace up at the back - which is an ultimate bonus as I always struggle to find boots that stay up, and these for sure do the job! I also really love the fact that the heel is only 3 inches! So perfect for everyday wear!

I've opted for an all black look to really show off the boots and their beautiful texture. Distressed is also a trend that is very current at the moment, so I decided to keep it simple with a black distressed sweater dress, an all black aviator style coat and a pair black signature shades - of course!
