Hello Yellow

Recently I've really wanted to experiment with some colour, so upon admiring one of my beautiful friends who shows this off really well - I decided to invest in some colour. Zara has stocked some really gorgeous leathers at the moment in a multitude of colours. They really are worth a look. Plus a good leather jacket is always great for anyone's wardrobe!

So I've never really been a fan of yellow or mustard for that matter, but since seeing a few bloggers pictured in this, I thought why not give it a try. I appreciate the fact that it isn't too loud of a colour, it's more of a dusty yellow shade - slightly too bright for mustard. I also love the fact that I can team this little leather number with something as casual as extreme distressed jeans and trainers as pictured  or dress it up wearing an all black slinky number paired with strappy black heels. I also love the fact that it is so versatile, I could team it with a denim shirt light or dark wash. It really is an amazing colour.

The details on the jacket are so fine and intricate, from the shoulder pads to the buckled waist belt, it really is a joy to wear. It really brightened up my outfit - literally! At the moment, Zara, has some seriously on trend coloured leathers for sale and also at a reasonable price of £40 a pop, so its hard not to treat yourself to all three gorgeous shades. Bright Yellow, Sky Blue and Pink. I've already covered two ( I'll be doing a blog post on the pink leather really soon, so keep posted). They've only just restocked the pink one - so that's one definitely worth grabbing before it's sold out again.

Ebay Beauty Buys

Hey girls! As you may know I am an avid ebay user, so after purchasing these must have beauty bits for less than £2 each including postage - I just had to share! Girls, don't pay over the odds just for a name, some products can be pretty good considering such a low price. Always check reviews - and be sure to keep checking back here for more bits and bobs I'm planning on ranting, raving and reviewing about!

Oval Brush      Oval brushes are so on trend at the moment and definitely a must have for any makeup bag. You can buy these brushes singularly or as set. I was tempted to buy the set but wasn't sure what the bristles would be like but I was pleasantly surprised. I use this brush now for my foundation, I find I don't get any streaks in comparison to my MAC foundation brush. The brush is soft and shockingly good quality for £2. The handle is nice and thick therefore easy to hold. This brush is also very good at blending if moved in circular motions. Click here to be redirected.

   Beauty Blender             Beauty blenders seem to be everywhere nowadays. From boots to YouTube tutorials, these little foamy balls are amazing when it comes to blending. I use this when I'm contouring, I find it very good when blending in my cheekbones. I find this no different to any of the blenders sold in boots or Superdrug. Priced at only £2, you can't go wrong. Click here to be redirected.

Brush Cleaning Egg   £2         Brush egg is a brush cleaner. I haven't actually seen these myself in any shops, but this little gadget works wonders. I've only ever just washed my brushes up against the palm of my hand with MAC Brush cleaner fluid but this little creation is fab! The ridges and ripples are really effective when removing foundation from your brush. It also doubles up as a brush cover.

Emerald Nails

Happy Saturday! Since having the day off, I thought I would treat myself to getting my nails done. I love having plain, painted and neat nails. It is one of my essentials to always have my nails done. I thought I would share this place with anyone lucky enough to be in London.

I have always been quite fussy when it comes to nail shops. I found it hard for a number of years to be happy with a place until I found this one. Emerald Nail Shop is situated on Kilburn High Street. I specifically liked this salon as they have a loyalty card scheme where after you receive your 5 stamps, you get £5 off- I love bargains! They specialise in Gels but I just went with the basic acrylic. This costs just £20 and then a re-fill after about 2-3 weeks (sometimes even a month if I'm feeling lazy) costs just £15, and as I repeatedly go for refills it costs me £15 a go, then after my 5th visit, its only £10.

The shop has a really lovely atmosphere, it is really chilled and peaceful and you don't feel like everyone is listening in to your conversation. I also appreciate that they remember me every time I come back - which in my books is a definite plus! . The prices are very reasonable from eyebrows, eyelashes to manicure/pedicure treatments. If your lucky enough to be served by this guy - he's the owner- and also up for a chat. Everyone is just really smiley and on occasions there are perks. Last Christmas, I received a glass of fizz whilst waiting to get my nails done. I've also been offered tea or coffee a few times whilst getting my nails done. They also had the shop nicely decorated for Easter time. They really do go the extra mile.

Here is their price list;

They've just stocked loads of ESSIE nail polishes too, I usually stick to OPI but I thought why not try a different brand for a change. I decided to go with my usual colouring of nude. This particular shade is called Sand Tropez - What a lovely play on words

Ta-Da! What do you girls think? Let me know your comments below. P.s. don't you just love my new Pandora leaf ring- still available on their website.

Feeling like a PrettyLittleThing

So Girls... I got a little delivery this morning. PrettyLittleThing  came nice and early so I thought I'd share by creating these 4 quick looks, enjoy! xoxo

Casual Look. Here's my Sunday Shopping day outfit. I absolutely love turtle necks! This particular one is PrettyLittleThing in colour Stone. The trousers are also PLT, I love how versatile these are - I've teamed this with my White X White Nike Huaraches, but could also be dressed up with a cute pair of wedges.

Late Night Outfit. In this look, it is the bardot stone coloured bodysuit and matching choker that I got from PLT. I have always had a thing for chokers - way back in Primary School running around with the tattoo ones you would get from the 20p machines! - Trend alert! I have also got a thing for baseball hats, this particular one is New Era, I decided to pair this to my look as I felt it gave it that extra edginess. The trench is from H&M and jeans are NEW LOOK. The heels are a personal favourite of mine - I bought these bad boys in Australia, super comfy and super on trend! As you can see I've recently become obsessed with Nudes so I couldn't miss out on this PLT combo. These pieces are also so versatile as it can be dressed up as I have done above, or dressed down with a ripped pair of jeans, adidas superstar trainers and a lush duster.

Afternoon Lunch Look. This look is a little different as I am wearing items I would never usually be interested in. The Khaki cut out shoulder (turtleneck!!) crop jumper is also a PLT number teamed with my Kendall Dark wash mom jeans - also from PLT. I have never been a fan of mom jeans, firstly I feel I am too short - and at 5ft6 you would think I shouldn't be. I absolutely love the fit on these, they are designed to be loose fitted and baggy so they feel really comfortable in comparison to my skinny minnie jeans. The shoes are from Clarks and are a perfect match to my jumper.

Summertime. I've named this look summertime, as I feel this look would be fine for any summers day! This could also be a possible festival look. The top and shorts are both PLT, the top is new season, it is a different bardot bodysuit - still in shade stone but this top is ribbed. Keeping in line with the ribbed trend. Sadly the shorts are from last years collection - but could also be found in the sale section on their website or ebay - so there is hope! I teamed this look with a flower crown from NEW LOOK, Tan tassel bag from ASOS and Nude gladiator chunky platforms from BOOHOO.

I've created a little guide below if you are interested in any of the PLT items shown here;

Casual Look : Stone ribbed turtle neck
                        Stone Trousers

Late night outfit; Stone Bardot Bodysuit
                             Stone choker

Afternoon Lunch Look: Khaki cut out shoulder jumper
                                       Kendall dark wash mom jeans

Summertime: Stone Ribbed Bardot Bodysuit

FUSE Gelnamel Review

 So girls, I always love having my nails and toe nails painted, but hate when they chip and start to look tatty - and realistically I don't have the time to constantly re-paint. I've heard about UV gel nail polish in Nail salons when I've gone to get my acrylics done before, but never took any attraction to it. On a trip to boots, I noticed this little set Called FUSE Gelnamel that claimed a 30 second flash dry, it was £20 and I was always tired of waiting for my nails to dry - so this seemed like the perfect idea.

  FUSE Gelnamel Vamp starter kit & Polar Bare gel shade.
And it definitely was! If you have never used Gel before, once you convert you will not be going back. So I purchased the starter kit which came with a burgundy shade of nail polish, but if this isn't your colour or your like me and like to chop and change like the weather, then you can buy additional colours for £10 each (or £5 each when boots have their summer or Christmas sales!) As you can see above I bought a Pastel glitter pink shade also.

 So the starter kit includes; a manual, a Fuse LED lamp, Fuse Gelnamel (10.65ml), Cleanser, 12 lint-free wipe and a double sided nail buffer. It is an all-in-one formula with one-coat coverage, 30-second flash-dry, anti-chip technology, megawatt shine that lasts and also looks fab all week. Fuse Gelnamel has been developed for those who did not want the multiple steps & 2 week wear of a full gel polish, but still wanted no dry time - sounds like me?

It is also super portable – the one finger lamp works from the mains or from your laptop with the USB lead provided!

FUSE Shades Vamp and Polar Bare

TOP TIP: If you manage to purchase this item, and are unsure of how to remove gel or don't want to buy extra products to remove the gel - you can create a solution from home. Just add nail polish remover to cotton wool, leave on toe and wrap toe in tinfoil. Leave for 5 mins and do every finger or toe nail separately in cotton wool and foil, the colour literally lifts!

Body Shop SS16 Review

So about a month ago, I was given a box full of goodies from The Body Shop with items that hadn't even reached the shelves yet. So I tried and tested as you do, and I must admit I really enjoyed using their products. I even received a special edition cuddly toy with a little ribbon labelled The Body Shop.

This product is literally sunshine in a bottle. NEW Honey Bronze Drops Of Sun - Launched 17th May. This is the ultimate natural holiday glow creator. The tan is instant and lasts a number of days. Simply apply 1-2 drops to your moisturiser or foundation. I found that once applied with your moisturiser, I added a few extra drops without cream as I love to be Bronzed.

NEW Vitamin E Moisture-Protect Emulsion SPF30 PA+++

I don't usually experiment with face creams, as I have only ever used Nivea or Clinique on my face, but since reading up about this product I was really tempted to try it. This cream feels really lightweight on your skin leaving you feeling nourished and protected. The UVA and UVB protection is boosted with biofermented hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture for over 48 hours.

Non-sticky 93% Agree
No White finish 95% Agree
Moisturised 91% Agree

Based on The Body Shop Self Assessments.

This product launched on the 25th April and retails at £14 for 50ml.

Here is my cute cuddly toy, and cute pineapple coaster that also came included in the set.

NEW Polynesian Island Tiare Eau de Toilette 50ml

Another sunshine in a bottle. Surround yourself with the Polynesian Tropics and the luminous blossoms of Tiare. At the top, a sparkling dash of juicy orange enhances the solar accents of a bouquet of sun-loving flowers - frangipani blossom and ylang-ylang, warmed with a blend of creamy coconut and vanilla for a luscious island scent. This particular perfume retails at £18. However the scent itself is available to buy as a shower gel, body lotion and body cream. This item launched 17th May.

The Summer of Love - The Pinita Colada Collection

NEW Pinita Colada Body Sorbet 250ml

Give your skin a sip of this lightweight hydrating sorbet for a cooling burst of fresh moisture. This product retails at £8. I've never used any form of cream calling itself a sorbet and I was pleasantly surprised. At first I thought it looked quite similar to wallpaper paste - due to its translucent whipped form, but I can assure you it is nothing like wallpaper paste. The smell is divine and definitely a summer treat!

NEW Pinita Colada Exfoliating Cream Body Scrub 250ml

This Body scrub contains real shredded coconut! This is what really enticed me to this product. You can't see the coconut pieces but you sure can smell it. This refreshing lightweight exfoliator leaves your skin feeling softer, smoother and ready for a summer of love. This product retails at £15.

NEW Pinita Colada Body Butter

This little divine tub is a little tub of wonder. It contains organic soya oil from Capanema, Brazil. It is silky smooth and not too heavy and thick. You can really smell the coconut in this. I'm not too fond of creams that feel like they've added an extra layer of skin on you. This product is available in 50ml £6 and 200ml £14.

One last note - I really adore how The Body Shop  have incorporated their new campaign of helping to regenerate and protect the rainforest. They are also donating money for every purchase made to the World Land Trust. So... don't you think it's worth treating yourself If you know it's going to a good cause.

My new shades

RoseGoldLipstick blogs about RoseGoldShades.

So girls, if you read my last post on my Dior style sunglasses, then you'll know where I bought these lovely sunnies - and if you haven't, maybe give it a little skim. These gorgeous gold and pink mirrored lensed sunglasses were purchased from Instagram account Zpail. They stock loads of trending pairs in a range of different colours.

This particular pair is my favourite and I just had to share. I adore mirror lensed glasses, so when I saw these - they had to be bought! The top and bottom part of the lenses is gold and therefore not see-through but this isn't noticeable whilst on. They really mark the trend of peeptoe and keyhole. Definitely a must buy!

Sunny Monday

Incase some of you didn't know, I live in London - hence why sunny days are really treasured. Once I saw the weather forecast the week before that we were going to be having a COUPLE of sunshine days, I knew this was ample opportunity to get the tan out and paint my toe nails - I love Fuse UV Nail Gel (Will be doing a post on this - stay tuned).

Decided to take the dog to the park, and captured a few of these on the way;

A staple for every wardrobe is definitely something Camo! I've gone for a Camouflage army style jacket from Zara. It was yet again another sunny day, so I thought I'd get out the white jeans - I specifically love this style of jeans, they are called Joni and are from Topshop.

I honestly cannot get enough of these basic American Apparel tops - still on the website! They are high neck, cropped and stretchy - absolutely perfect staple for anyone's summer wardrobe! This particular style is Nude and retails for £22 and is available in a range of colours.

One last staple for summer is a pair of white trainers! If you know me you know I am obsessed with White trainers and even more obsessed about keeping them clean too. Here I have the sold out Nike Huarache Triple White, I was fortunate enough to go to Florida earlier this year and grab them over there as they are currently sold out in the UK!

After all that picture taking, I'm admiring my White on White Jeans and Trainers, taking in the sunshine and watching the fella kick the ball about. All details for all clothing shown can be found below.

Sunny Sunday

Having a Sunday off work is the best feeling ever! But do you know what even tops that? Having a Sunday with the glorious sunshine we hardly ever see. Yep - there was me enjoying my first Sunday off in about THREE years in this blissful weather.

Had an amazing day out with my partner and his family, we all went out to eat, here are a few snaps....

I'm really in love with the bohemian trend at the moment. I've romanticized the outfit by using shades of cream and pastel pink. I also love the delicate detailing around the shoulders of the top. The floppy hat and choker were just additions to add to the whole bohemian vibe.

I've had this PrettyLittleThing pastel pink duster in my wardrobe for a few years now and never really got the chance - or had the weather to wear it. Since Zara have just brought out the pastel pink leather - looks like there's a pastel pink jacket trend on the horizon.

Here's a close up of the PrettyLittleThing Choker - still available on the website! On my lips I'm wearing Lime Crime Velvetines Buffy & Mac Soft and Gentle Highlighter on my cheeks. I rarely apply much of this during the week - only enough for a subtle shimmer.

And here's the finishing product. All details of where to purchase these items are below.
